Every Thursday afternoon we have a Sit 'N Knit. Just come along to the store, bring your current project, sit around our table and chat, swap ideas, and have a good time. We provide the coffee, tea and cookies, and help if you need it. There is no charge, and no purchase is necessary.

If you wish to visit us, from Highway 417 westbound, exit at Castlefrank Road. Follow Castlefrank Road south to Hazeldean Road. We are on the south east corner of Hazeldean and Castlefrank.

From Highway 417 eastbound, exit at Terry Fox Drive. Follow Terry Fox south until you reach Hazeldean Road. Turn left onto Hazeldean Road, and we are located on your right on the south east corner of Castlefrank.

The following buses pass the store:
#161 and 162. Both are local buses serving Kanata Town Centre and Hazeldean Mall.
#118 to Baseline, Billings Bridge, and Hurdman.
At peak hours, #63, 64. Ottawa downtown and Hurdman.

We have a well stocked, modern store with an ever growing selection of yarns, knitting needles, crochet hooks, knitting accessories, woven goods, tatting supplies, knitting bags, knitting stands, and various related craft items. In 2002 we doubled the size of the store to 2,000 square feet.

We carry a great selection of Wool, Cotton, Acrylic, Polyester, Nylon, Bamboo yarn......

We also have our famous wall of books and patterns - thousands of patterns in fact. We also have an incredible selection of needles, pairs, double pointed, circular, Turbo, crochet hooks, and knitting accessories. Yarn Forward offers lessons in knitting, tatting, crochet, and finishing seminars. We now have two tables for lessons, and for customers to just sit and relax in peace and quiet.

Yarn Forward & Sew-On is Kanata's Husqvarna Viking and Singer dealer, and we service and sell Husqvarna Viking, White and Singer sewing machines and sergers. We also carry a range of specialty threads, zips, ribbons, cutting boards, rotary cutters, scissors, quilting pads, and other notions.
