This kit is a great introduction to felting. It comes with complete instructions on how to felt and how to knit, as well as detailed instructions to knit the pillow. The kit contains 4 balls of Patons Classic Merino Wool, one each in 231 Chestnut Brown, 202 Aran, 229 Natural Mix, and 228 Dark Natural Mix. Also included is Patons book 500210 "Knit and Crochet Felting".

The finished size of the pillow is about 14 inches (35 cm) square.

Classic Merino Wool is a very good yarn for felting.

You will also need one pair of 5 mm (US 8) knitting needles and a pillow form. These are not included in the kit.
